My favourite mug
When I received this gift from my friend, I started using it every single day, this same cup when I'm drinking water and my iced coffee. I love it. My friend said she really thought so much about it.
It's funny because, one time, she asked me about gift ideas. She said, "Do you have any gift idea for someone who is really picky and fussy?" (Honestly it's so hard to get an exact translation of "yayamanin na maarte), I answered, "No idea, I don't think I can relate." LOL! AND now realised it was me she was referring.
One thing I noticed about myself that is very prominent is that truly I'm fussy.
When I dont like things on the other hand, there's no way I can learn to like it. I don't hate it, hate is different, I just don't simply enjoy it, all about preferences.
When I like something, I really like it and it becomes part of me, I create a habit of always experiencing it, if it is a thing, if it is an activity then doing it all the time, if a person then thinking about him. I am really a person of habit, I park my car on the same slot every single day. I buy the same coffee every time. My steps on making my bed each day is the same. I go to bed at 730pm (regular day) and start reading books and should finish at 830pm, etc.
I am unconsciously fond of building systems, routines that makes my day simple and productive because I strongly believe that it's my habit that people can't change on me, and so when one has strong habits and principles, people can't easily influence you. You then get to have a choice to pick which influence you will allow, which opinion you will hear, which truth matters.
Back to my favourite mug, those are the reasons why I like this mug, one, my friend gave it me and taught it represents me, two because I agreed with her, and now whenever I use it, it does not just convey how she remembers me but also how perceive myself.
